Personality||

Moonriver is very analytical. They observe just about everything that's going on around them and are prone to pointing out details that others miss. Others have a tendency to get a bit annoyed by the constant reminders, but are appreciative when they come in handy. Moonriver also is very skilled at remembering things. This skill is what makes them the Priest of the Sky, as they need to be able to remember the stories.

Moonriver has a tendency towards being blunt. They say it how it is, whether it's declaring how much they love their mate or how stupid Marblestar is being. The only place it doesn't apply is when they tell the stories of the Great Lions, as storytelling is something they're really good at.

It's pretty clear that despite their analytical nature, Moonriver is very in touch with their emotions. One could easily say that they're the best in the clan at experiencing emotions. They have very healthy coping mechanisms and is well know for making sure to take a break and actually calm down when they get upset. They are known for being a bit irritable but that's usually because they stayed up a bit late and didn't get to sleep until almost dawn.

Moonriver is also very philosophical and thinks way too much about things. Marblestar has put them on the list of "cats to come to when there's trouble" because they're very good at putting together puzzles and coming up with a bunch of cool ideas.

When it comes to cats they care about, Moonriver is very affectionate and loves to make sure they all know how much they love them. It's adorable how much they love those they care for. Much cuddles. All of the cuddles.

History||

Moonkit was born as part of a litter that a molly named Finchtuft wanted to have to give gay dads a chance to raise their own kittens. As such, they were raised two loving gay dads, Silverfang and Softstone. They never interacted with their surrogate mother much other than to nurse. Moonkit never considered the other kits of that litter their siblings aside from biology.

Silverfang was a grumpy but very affectionate dad. Moonkit would spend all day with him as he liked to stay in camp and help teach kittens over traditional warrior duties. Snowstar basically made him a queen at one point. Meanwhile, Softstone was Moonkit's idol - bold, smart, and really good at everything warriors did.

Moonkit tried to be as good as Softstone, but they found that their skills were lacking. It was infuriating at first, until Silverfang taught them that they could have their own skills and be their own person.

Moonpaw's mentor was Finchtuft. She was a very clear mentor and was very dedicated to teaching Moonpaw everything she knew about how to be a good warrior and a thinker. During this time, Moonpaw became close friends with Patchpaw, Dawnpaw and Marblepaw. They got into mischief together and had a really great time.

They became Moonriver after passing their apprentice test with flying colors. Even better, they say, than Dawnglow and Marblestep. A bit smug, perhaps, but they're very proud of themself.

Moonriver began to argue increasingly with Snowstar's decisions regarding Stellar Clan and the war Snowstar wanted to wage. Constantly butting heads, the two nearly actually attacked each other once because Moonriver simply wouldn't stop bugging Snowstar about going to war and maybe not murdering a bunch of cats, even if they were pompus idiots.

So when Marblestep wanted people to join her when she was exiled, Moonriver was glad to go.
