- Desdemona is a member of the Iris Family. Her parents are considered a branch family of the Iris Family with her mother having been married into it. Her mother, a famous actress, was accepted into the main branch of the Iris Family whereas Desdemona is considered a "black sheep" of the family for not fitting into the societal norms.
- Like her name suggests, Desdemona is the embodiment of unlucky. She spends most of her time at the casino gambling, betting high and losing big, which draws in spectators who find her actions amusing.
- Outside of her hobby of gambling, she tends to face varying circumstances that prove her unluckiness. She believes her bad luck started when she first encountered Dr. Ratio and does everything in her power to try and befriend him, in hopes that will reverse the bad luck.
- When she's not gambling, however, Desdemona is busy writing scripts for the plays that members of the Iris Family tend to star in.
- She was born and raised in Penacony but will occasionally travel to different worlds to oversee the progress of her scripts turned into plays or movies. She made Belobog a second home, operating within the Golden Theater.
- Despite her atrocious luck, Desdemona is armed with optimism and a good sense of humor. She's able to laugh off her misfortune and maintain a sense of unbridled optimism that makes it hard not to indulge her.
- Desdemona is an intuitive and creative woman who possesses the ability to think outside of the box with outlandish and innovative solutions to common problems. While she's empathetic and understanding, there's a neurotic side to her that often leads her to overthink and second-guess herself. Her creativity knows no bounds, and she's always willing to push the boundaries of what is possible.
- She may project an air of poise and elegance, but beneath the surface lies a woman plagued by self-doubt and insecurity. Despite her polished exterior, Desdemona's true self remains hidden beneath layers of pretense and artifice much like an actress starring in a role. She doesn't understand how to approach or care for others, which often leads her to be either overly familiar or particularly distant, worried her personality may be too overwhelming for most.
