Maura

Maura was the daughter of a high female commander and an unknown soldier father. Before her, her mother had four previous kids but all of them had been male, which she had not wanted. Once Maura was born, however, finally she had what she wanted: An heir. Since the mother held her rank for so long, once she would retire, she wanted Maura to take her place. Thankfully, Maura proved something: She had the amazing ability of able to use weapons. By the time she was 7, she was hitting targets flawlessly and rarely missed. It not only impressed her mother but even the Octarian army. Maura joined the army as a result, despite being so young. And marked herself as the youngest soldier to ever exist within the army. She had her first real fight at age 9 after going through a lot of training and was able to survive, showing her skills as a fighter.

Unknown the young Octoling, her mother had been manipulating her this entire time: Ensuring her child was able to develop her abilities from a young age but of course, Maura never knew since the "toys" she had just.. felt like toys (Her favorite was a fake Octoshot toy). She only learned about her perfect aim when she shot a vase in the house. Instead of being ticked, her mother was pleased. Seeing the "training" she had her child unknowingly do with the toys she gave and the results were showing.. Boom, Maura was becoming what she wanted this whole time. And because she wanted to keep pleasing her mother.. Cue Maura just... devoting her time doing just that. Slowly becoming more like a puppet who would simply obey whatever orders she was given.

By the time she was 14, she was showing a lot of potential.. So much so, Commander TARTAR himself even showed interest in Maura. As such, she was offered a chance to become even better. Stronger, faster, having her emotions not get in the way... And because Maura was still wanting to please both her mother and the army... Without hesitation, she accepted the offer. And thus.. She was experimented on... Eventually becoming more and more corrupted as it continued. Her hair changed... As did her eyes... Like two other experimented being, she even gained the ability to switch to a Sanitized form and reverse back at will! Eventually, she became what we know her as, a cold-hearted killer. And its believed, Commander TARTAR even placed some of his own will on her.. So, even after he was destroyed... His desire to take over the world, lives on within Maura...


In terms of fighting, Maura loves nothing more than to be close and personal. She is also excellent at hand to hand combat, almost preferring it over weapons even. She also carries a hidden knife on her in case she needs a weapon in an pinch if she can't use her Dualies. Be warned, once you pick a fight with her... Don't expect to leave the fight unscathed. She will personally ensure that!
