emmy never thought their life could get any weirder, but now harboring the kingdom’s princet, mallory, in hiding for murder, they have their doubts. they have their own past of being manipulated into getting blood on their hands, though, so they try not to judge— they just wish this obviously-traumatized idiot would stop insulting them whenever they offer help. emmy’s simply trying to get by working in their father’s potion shop, taking one day at a time, trying to work their way into considering themself a good person again.

shaking the desperate need to be liked and given attention is difficult, and emmy’s only just starting to set boundaries to protect themself from being used like they have been countless times before. they’re quite the fan of the “fake it ‘til you make it” method of confidence, and it’s been working well enough in giving them a sense of self-assurance. they’re a deeply loyal person who commits themself hard to the small group of people they trust— and though they’re generally a friendly and well-loved person, their trust is not easy to gain anymore. emmy’s family are the most important people in their life, and they’d do whatever it takes to keep them happy, even if it means exaggerating their own happiness to avoid worrying them.
