  • • When Kas is younger, he is often bullied by other squires and knights for his Beast Traits. This happens particularly with one character who later becomes a friend/rival.

  • • In his backstory. Kas was given up by his parents and given to a group of Knights who basically tried to teach wild bloods like him how to control their shifts into their wild blood forms. The way they tried to teach this was through confining and physically abusing the children to get them used to pain.

  • • A large number of people hate Kas just because he has Beast Traits and think less of him because he has them. Some people even refuse to interact with him because of it.

  • • Many characters in his story die, including many of the characters Kas can date. He also dies himself.

  • • One of the major aspects of Kas's magic allows him to harm himself in order to force his body to partially shift into his wild blooded (basically werehyena) form. As such, he frequently claws, bites, and otherwise injures himself in order to use this magic. This does leave notable scars.
