  • • In his young age, Suuga is very often picked on and otherwise treated cruelly by other children, but especially the person he thinks of as being one of his few friends. He is clearly affected by this, as he often remarks that the one friend is what makes him seem normal, even if the trade is being treated poorly.

  • • Both in his backstory and during the early parts of his story. Suuga is both physically and mentally abused by adults at a young age. Half of his body is severely burned, he is locked away and forced to fight his only friend, he is forced to hide his appearance or face further physical and mental threat.

  • • This is toward him being an Enigmatic, and therefore covering himself up head to toe to try to remove his self-identity. Many treat him as an outsider or an unknown worth avoiding.

  • • The Enigmatic, his family, organize based on who is the most important. Suuga is particularly low class among the family and is seen as largely disposable. As such, he is usually pushed down and mistreated by those who should be closest to him.

  • • Suuga is afraid of seeing his own body, and once he does he becomes immediately confused and disassociates. He struggles to take compliments on appearance and actively dislikes his looks for a large portion of the story. He actively hates his scarring and magically enhanced eye, and will refer to them as disgusting or otherwise bad often.

  • • The group he belongs to, The Enigmatic, actively try to remove a person's sense of self and self worth in order to make them more effective tools. As such, he is often struggling with his own identity and what or who he really is. The group he was a part of in his younger age attempted this even more so, trying to remove a person's personality by forcing them to be emotionless and slaughter the one person they grew close to.

  • • Suuga is known for drinking any and all of the poisons, potions, and drugs he creates. These have a wide variety of effects and can be both good or bad. Suuga himself does the to build immunity or to treat his own ailments (especially his chronic pain).

  • • Suuga is an alchemist who makes a large number of potions, poisons, and fantasy drugs. Most of these are used in battle, but he does sometimes make medicine for others or drugs meant to aid with various things.

  • • The Enigmatic are essentially a cult who use their status and ability to take in young children to manipulate them into being the type of tools that they wish to bring themselves into power. They are widespread and powerful, which makes them even more dangerous. Suuga was born into their ranks.
