Petal

Petal is another of Brennan’s Pokemon! She is the other reason he ever goes outside; she loves her friends, the sun, and above all else, battling! Despite her small stature and unassuming demeanor, Petal is something of a menace on the battlefield, and is especially adept at the teamwork-centered strategies that are necessary to the double battles of her current region’s league. Petal met Brennan while he was studying abroad as part of his phD program. He was in the Almia region to study Pokemon-centered technology under the tutelage of the legendary Professor Hastings, inventor of the ranger stylus. While he was there, he was encouraged to do a bit of field work, and on one of his less well-thought-out excursions, Petal ended up helping him avoid falling off a cliff. She decided that she liked him and followed him back to Ranger Headquarters, effectively adopting him as her trainer. Almia doesn’t have a proper Pokemon battling scene, and that was what Petal craved–so she did everything she could to convince Brennan that he should let her on his team. It worked, and Petal quickly became Brennan’s ace. The pair work well together, and Petal is a sunny presence on Brennan’s team, helping to ease tensions between the other members.
