Eclipse

Eclipse was a soft-spoken, kind Pokemon. She had a keen sense of others’ needs and loved helping those she cared for. Her devotion could lean close to self-sacrifice, though: Eclipse would often take on unpleasant tasks simply so others didn’t have to. This sometimes resulted in injury, but she felt it was worth it. Eclipse hid these impulses from the people around her, because she knew they would encourage her to stop, and she didn’t want to. Eclipse was Gabriel’s partner Pokemon in the same way that Rocket is Ava’s; Eclipse and Gabriel always clicked very well, with similar needs and sensibilities. They looked up to and relied on each other, especially in battle; when they were together, it felt like there weren’t any threats they couldn’t overcome. Unfortunately, there was one. A ruinously powerful legendary was threatening to destroy them and the rest of their family, so of course Gabriel and Eclipse had to fight back. Although it was Ava’s job to seal the legendary away, Gabriel and Eclipse fought to give her the space to do that. During their final fight against it, Eclipse died protecting Gabriel, taking a blow she knew she couldn’t handle. She was just glad that her partner survived.
