BLACKBERRY WHISPERS
Parselings a deck-based TTRPG created by Paper Cactus Games that has a focus on character and collaboration. In Parselings, individuals who have been infected by an inky parasite called a "Parsecyte" develop word tattoos over their body that reflect how the world views them, and by combining these Words with another "Parseling's" Words, they can alter the world around them in unique ways.
Blackberry Whispers is a Parselings campaign run by novamallow. The world mirrors our modern setting and takes place primarily in and around the city of Silkscar, an almost surreal place home to many Parselings. North of it, a huge spell (known as a Parse) has just been cast, and its lingering energy reverberated across the region, gaining the attention of Parselings all over. The six player characters arrive at or return to Silkscar together, each with different reasons but all with the mysterious Divine Parse on their minds.
People's Perception
Connor is a young and energetic kid, always looking for some new excitement. He happily helps his father, Wayland, with his work, both through mechanical means and through Parsing. He’s very outspoken, although because of the activity of Ernst’s gang, he hasn’t been able to safely leave the back of Wayland’s smithy.

Not much is known about Connor’s past, apart from the fact that Ernst’s gang has been harassing him and his family through extortion.
Campaign
Although Connor was at the smithy, the group didn’t meet him there on their first or even second visits because Wayland wanted to keep Connor protected from Ernst’s gang and other outsiders. When Petri came back to the smithy to request help Parsing a new weapon, though, Wayland offered to bring Connor out to help, as he believed Connor to be safe enough in the company of himself, Rain, and Petri if something were to happen. Fortunately, nothing happened other than a successful Parse transforming Petri’s fork into a trident, which Connor was very enthused about.

Connor is the only GM-created NPC that has the starting character Deck Size of 15.
Connor is also the only human NPC to have fewer than the starting 7 Trick Points.
