Prairie [Peridot 5X3A]

A very nerdy Peridot who will geek out about organic life every chance he can get, he can literally make plants, somewhat. Prairie prides himself in beings a technician gems can trust to do his job well, but honestly, he’s just okay at it. His technical skills are average and nothing special. He’s really good at gardening though, being able to bring plants back from the brink of death with tender love and care. He’s very open about his emotions if you get close enough to him and he’s not afraid to cry in front of others, it’s just another emotion in his words. Overall, he’s a sweet guy who’s just down on his luck in most situations and just wants to talk about plants.

A Peridot who formed with a very odd ability that generally put off his veinmates. Prairie formed with the ability to revive and create plant life, but in the way that the plants are from his own lightform, false life technically. He was shunned from his vein rather quickly after formation and was sent to work in a laboratory setting as an assistant for a botanist. Prairie thrived in a lab setting helping someone who worked with plants all day; however that job, which is basically a dream for him, was short-lived. His boss was accused of treason and was arrested, so he was out of a job there. He went on to pick up odd jobs left and right, nothing sticking until he was finally able to settle into a position as a medical bay’s resident technician and gardener. He tends to the bay’s plant life that most of them have and makes sure the equipment is working properly. It seems like a good position until you look a bit closer and realize that Prairie is basically living in a broom closet, is isolated from proper mass scale technical work and gets very little socialization. He’s miserable so signed himself up to be a hireable Peridot for random missions to get at least some sense of a social life.

• His birthdate would technically be on January 13th.
• Prairie’s lightform has a few spider lily inspirations in it by his own choice, they are his favorite flower and he takes advantage of his off-coloring for it.
• He is so scared of birds, it isn’t funny. Even the sight or call of one can have him running in the opposite direction.
• He’s a terrible pilot but on most missions he’s the only technician gem so guess who gets to drive. The gem who can’t. He’s almost crashed too many times.
• He frequents the casinos in Twisted Yellow’s court. He gambled once and lost everything, so he just goes for the free drinks these days.
