Izumo no Okuni
About
A previous shrine maiden turned entertainer, Izumo was found along the riverbed of the Kamo River in Kyoto performing what would later become known as kabuki. From this point forward she traveled with companions she gathered. Her troupe being a means of escape for female outcasts and misfits.
Izumo in this time of warring state has taken a neutral stance, preferring to continue with her troupe in entertainment. Though many know that the best way to garner support is through the arts. Thus she received letters asking for her support from two sides.
"Oh dear me, This will cost you extra I'm afraid"
Combat
Izumo battles using what she knows best, the arts. She wields a samisen into battle and uses kan elemnet.
Nagauta
A samisen that Izumo wields in and out of battle, with the power of Kan she is able to primarily AOE attacks in sweeps, straight lines and around her. Her weapon grants a base 5% chance for kan damage.
nembutsu odori
A super art that will buff her and her ally immensely, giving a 10% increase to defense and attack when used for a set amount of time and give the equivalent to a small health.
Personality
Izumo is an increibly charismatic person, who draws anyone she speaks to in. She is the type of person who can spark a conversation with anyone and become fast friends.
Charming | Free-Willed | Adaptable
Due to her nature, she is extremely free-willed, choosing to go where the wind will take her and not enjoying be tied down by the obligations of society, preferring the arts and her own expression. Due to this she has learned to become extremely adaptable to the changing world around her.
Despite how she may come off, Izumo is not one to talk much about herself or hold much hype. She often states she is simply a performer who wishes to spread the tales of others.
Design Notes
- She wears peach colored eyeshadow, the color of her lipstick can very between peach, red and teal.
- She almost always will be wearing her haori off her shoulders, it gives her a relaxed look in her opinion.
- She tends to dress very colorful.

Trivia
- She has a pet racoon dog named, Kamo after the river that she was said to have first been seen dancing.
- Though she will ally with any faction, she most often sides with Ieyasu due to the fact Wufeng and Sorin are on Mitsunari's side
- She has a high alcohol tolerance, as she needs to always be aware of whats going on in regards to her troupe and she drinks a lot.
- Izumo is often seen entertaining women of high society with her troupe.
- Izumo's troupe itself is not noted to fight, often it will be Izumo in battle with the army she is assisting. She doesn't want her ladies getting hurt.
