Story
white serpent born of rain, destined to renounce the understanding of emotions and thus forced to pass through worldly anxieties again and again β so that she may learn to know herself, to feel anew, and to got her true draconic essence.
She does not know where she came from. It was said that she was born from the deep desire of a dragon to experience the world without attachment or love; and after his words, rain fell upon the earth like tears. In that moment, a soul was born β destined to wander between forms and names, a distorted wish given life. She wanders through worlds, taking on many forms: a maiden, a healer, a traveler, a conjurer, even a beast, etc.
Her becoming a dragon through "evolution" from a serpent is a choice. If she rejects it β she will remain an eternal wanderer without essence, without wounds, without purpose. If she accepts β she will become a dragon, grow stronger. Only then will she be able to protect what she holds dear and guard the world itself, understanding the essence and importance of human feelings and emotions β for she was given a chance. Collecting emotions helps her evolve.
However, even upon attaining a draconic form, her body still retains serpentine scales and a tail, as a reminder of the path she has walked. She also can be still in snake form, when she tired.
Character and habits
he always appears calm, yet her heart is most often filled with anxiety. By the time she became a dragon, she had endured far too much β she had lost much, and having lived through it all, she sometimes doubts whether understanding human emotions has truly benefited her. Yet then she looks at those who have brought her happiness, who have taught her to love, who reach out their hands to her asking for blessed rain β and inwardly she smiles, thinking that perhaps this is her purpose.
She is deeply compassionate and because of this, people have often taken advantage of her, which has sharpened the claws upon her paws. Even so, she is still revered by people as a legendary being of the temples, one who sends rain and walks among mortals, helping them in times of hardship.
Her secluded refuge, where she does not need to pretend to be anyone β is a bamboo forest or the temples hidden among it. People say that sometimes, within that forest, they glimpse a dragon shaped like a serpent, and among the green leaves flashes white scales like the reflection of the moon, guarding those places from evil.
Only there can she truly be herself. And though she still does not know where her home is or what her ultimate purpose may be, she does not cease striving toward good deeds.
Design
In her dragon or snake form, Aori is very graceful and flexible. She twists easily thanks to her serpentine nature. She's very slender.

Trivia
- She can take the form of a snake or a dragon. Most often, she is best depicted among temples, greenery, bamboo, and rain.
- Each of the blue flowers is unique in her appearance β no others like them exist in the world. Each one symbolizes an emotion she has come to know (inspired by Carroll Izardβs classification of emotions). The larger the flower, the stronger the emotion was, and the ones with leaves became key aspects of her personality ("guilt" and "interest").
- The golden rings on her body are a projection of her own restraints and the thoughts and feelings that hold her back. They never weigh her down, but they're always present.

Aori crossed paths with Guinevere once by pure chance. She noticed how similar they were. Guinevere, much like Aori, studied emotions, though as an observer rather than a participant in events β and that was what set them apart... However, life among mortals had taught Aori many things, so she gladly shared her experiences with the observer who wished to understand this world and its inhabitants. The two of them became good conversationalists by circumstance, and since then they occasionally meet to have heartfelt conversations. Sometimes, they travel together as well.
