We were nameless and without songs. We were never again really wordless. Still, we are a little songless, yet, we are not toneless. You can hear us.
Dvalin Liberius is the firstborn son of the Liberius family and exists alongside his younger brother, Terry Liberius. Heâs a redhead with long hair (that he wears partially in a braid), a bushy beard, and two menacing eyes withmean pink irises. On his face, there are two deep scars that cross each other between his nose bridge. He is extremly tall and strong, resembling that of a strongman. Dvalin is usually seen sporting heavy amounts of armor and his familyâs long, dark royal mantle, and occasionally, a manâs traditional kimono. Sometimes, he also wears a gladiatorâs helmet and lets his hair flow out. He always carries his claymore on his back.
Dvalin is widely known to be a just, courageous, and honorable man; a hero of the people, and (almost) incorruptible under ascendancies. No matter his position or influence, he never thinks twice about standing for his truth or ideas. He fears no phantom, mystic, or man, and he makes it very clear. Even under Agnes, he persists.
Story
BEGINNINGS
Dvalin was born and raised in Meraki as the heir to the Liberius family of swordsmen with his younger brother, Thierry. He lived a lively life with his family, community, and friends. Throughout his early life, he focused his efforts on his job and assisting his brother and then later with his slow adjustments to the world.
KINGSHIP
His kingship were riddled with hardships and his greatest short-comings as a king, especially ever since he allowed Shotoku within the borders of his country. After Shotokuâs immigration into Meraki, Agnes and Dvalin (especially) received great amounts of backlash from Jiyu, Through his late 30s, he would constantly be fighting off conflict from the East and dealing with the consequences of adopting Angelus Shotoku into his country. During Agnesâ Reign of Terror, he began to develop intense resentment towards Angelus Shotoku for his alliance with Agnes. Around this era, Meraki received more reprisals than usual, except then, it was for Shotoku and Agnes. Because of this conflict, the country and its people he ruled would gradually split, and his relationship with his younger brother would wither as well. When Agnes was killed, he and his country were left in shambles.
DEATH & REBIRTH
Most of the citizens and Dvalin himself were relieved when Shotoku had passed. However, it would take a toll on the rest of Shotokuâs believers, and beloved, Terry. Upon discovering each otherâs feelings about the matter, it would diminish Terry and Dvalinâs relationship as siblings even further. Then Dvalin, would completely resent his younger brother too. These feelings of bitterness and betrayal would persist, until Terry, and he too was killed.
In his very last moments, Dvalin was caught alone in the civil war between the spilt sides of Meraki, and was killed with a strike from Phantom Snowfrost Agnes, ending his life and lineage almost indefinitely.
Separately from his brother, Dvalin would wander in limbo, until he was found and resurrected by Tira Olhos. Because even in death, he still held the ambition to rule a great country.

Thierry Liberius [ brother ]
In the past, Dvalin was close with Terry. However, because of Agnesâ Reign of Terror and Terryâs unconditional love for his husband, Shotoku (whom he resents because he was partially responsible for The Reign of Terror and destruction of Meraki), his respect for him was diminished. Now, the only thing he feels when he looks at him is shame and regret. His biggest regret.
Xiaotong [ step-sister ]
Unlike Terry, Dvalin actually likes and respects Xiaotong. They often go on duties and shifts in a pair, and generally spend a lot of peaceful bonding time with each other. They donât make bad siblings. Dvalin sees a lot of potential in her and admires her honesty, heart, and skills.
Snowfrost Agnes [ business partner ]
Dvalin refers to him as âDer Meisterâ. Although their history between their families and chemistry is questionable, Dvalin considers him something of an ally, because of their shared ideologies involving the revolutions against Neorah. He only has a strong distaste for his demeanor and confining persona.Recent Images
