Nolan The Hedgehog

Background: In Sonic Underground, Sonic and his siblings spend the whole show trying to find their mother. Yet strangely, no one ever talks about what happens to the father. Not Sonic or siblings, their mother, not even Robotnik. The closest I can find was that the French version of the theme song that mentions the father being gone. So either he’s dead, kidnapped, missing, or roboticized. So this is my take on him.

My Thought Process: I saw a few fan takes of the father, where he’s usually depicted with a green color scheme. Most likely a genetic thing, to explain how Manic got green colors, whereas Sonic and Sonia’s colors can be easily explained with Aleena’s purple colors. So I wanted to do something different and went with yellow. Yellow mixed with blue makes green, and Aleena is purple, which is red and blue. Once again, genetics. Plus I don’t like the idea of having 2 green characters in this family. It would feel unbalanced to me. I also made his quills and armor regal to fit with Aleena’s. And I chose the name Nolan cause it means light. A ray of light in the dark tunnel sounds fitting, and fits his yellow fur.

His Family - He cares for them, raises them, making sure they are loved. He would do anything to keep them safe. 

Dislikes:

Robotnik - He hates him with a passion, and wants him gone. For how much evil and destruction he causes, he does his best to make sure he won’t get away with his crimes.

Harming His Family - I mentioned he loves his family a lot. But I forget to mention how far he’ll go. If anyone dares to even harm a single hair off of them, Nolan would go into Papa mode and go apeshit on the attackers. There was one report where he sliced one dude’s eye off as a warning. He’s that’s serious.
