Eustace is the fourth child of the royal family of Caedynth, their third and last son. His power is invincibility, and through the artifacts, it amplifies into a force shield over Caedynth, protecting from rouge monsters and other kingdoms alike. Without his power, he is quite a bit weaker than someone might normally be; he bruises easily.

Easily (and disappointingly) the smallest of his brothers, Eustace was trained in education as opposed to combat, considered rather feeble. He's great tactically, as he has a very keen eye, but is almost always seen toting around a bodyguard, especially since his gift is so useful to the kingdom.

He is engaged to a princess of Dreiadour, although he has no interest in her. He is a bit depressed, and the minute he discovers there is an assassin on his trail, he doesn't mind one bit—the fun of going through the assassin's trials is enough new and dangerous entertainment to satisfy his brain, and in the end, he doesn't mind the consequence of death. At least that will relieve him from his parents and responsibilities, and rid them of their precious comfort.

personality

Eustace is a bit of a brat, rather proud of himself and cocky, and likes to toe the line of acceptability. The only people he really is scared of is his parents, so he won't think twice about mouthing off anyone else. He is a priss as well, very comfortable in his lifestyle and unwilling to change. 

He is lazy, and hates work, and adores getting "princess treatment" just for his apparent fragility and usefulness through his powers.
