, shadedheart was not graced with a loving home. at a young age, she was forced into brutal training and punishments when her small body couldn't keep up. Both her mother and father held no remorse, especially when they desired a son. In front of their clan, they faked kindness and never left a true scar on her but behind the scenes, it was worse.
as a result, she became mute and closed off. luckily, one night, rogues attacked and killed her parents before taking over. they spared shadedheart due to mercy. she was mistreated, left to the shadows before escaping. In those few weeks, she met a tom and developed a trauma bond which he took great advantage of. He introduced her into his new clan before manipulating and controlling her. Thus brought in her first kit, Freckledweep.
she couldn't stand looking at her son. once her mate became more violent, she ended up killing him and hiding it. shadedheart never acted like a true mother to freckledweep, standing off to the side and never responding to his cries. looking at him scared and disgusted her and she never did either of those.
during this time, she met another tom and grew another attachment. she ended up having eclipsedmoon before he passed. with all the pain in her heart, she wanted to change and love her daughter so she did although it left freckledweep to witness what he couldn't have. slowly, she grew to open up and love her daughter along with being accepted more into the clan. she assisted her daughter, before finally apologizing to her son. he never accepted it but he never hated her.
at the end of her life, shadedheart didn't have many regrets. she ended up dying in the safety of her home. after her death, she witnessed her daughter grow and become a loving soul. however, as time passed, she slowly saw her granddaughter and great-grandson become the monsters that her father was. so while she watches in agony, her heart aches knowing that the kit that she loved the most was the one who gave birth to monsters.

- she has light-sensitive eyes, which makes daytime harder for her. she is also completely mute.
- her and freckledweep never talked after her apology. she doesn't regret never loving him either even if he wanted her too. he grieved so hard that he left the clan, and ended up dying.
- her parents did love her but they were never deserving of her love.
- shadedheart helps the healers sometimes due to her excellent herb knowledge from her previous clan. she isn't preferred to treat patients though due to her apathy to them.
- her daughter is such the opposite of her that others don't know how it's possible they're related.
