Appearance

chips is a anthropomorphic black cat with golden eyes. he got a big big sweatshirt red made with wool which is kinda falling appart by his sleeves and at his left shoulder because of his habits of playing with losing thread when nervous/distracted and by where he put his phone. he have a portative phone which he use to call people; and a gray short with stripe. he is barefoot and have a big bushy tail. his eye always looks like they see everything they need to observe and he is often looking weirdly neutral of very tired. he still looks friendly tho/-

Background

chips was born in a contryside distric, specially in a valley. he is the first born, having a little brother named fish. chips every since his birth had a gift to talk to people, and was accepted very quickly into a group of kids from the village. with his privilege, chips saw that his brother was kinda put appart since he was more closed off and did his possible to help him have friends. this work, and everything was doing fine until the accident. chips was playing with a few kids outside in the forest, when they heard noises, and screams. noises was not something unusual, so its only when returning that they heard that fish and two other kids where missing. a storm was soon coming, so everyone needed to go to safety in houses. its only when the worst of the storm passed, hours later, that his brother was found. and the death of one of the closest friend of chips was announced. chips had to deal with the loss of a very close friend and also his brother, who was changed forever. nobody knows what had hapened, but fish was traumatized and a child had drowned. it was very hard time for chips, that was so glad his brother was safe, but at the same time angry and grieving. fish responded to no one, and chips started to be angry at him, screamign and trying to make him talk. nothing worked, and chips was a grieving child that hated his brother. until one day, fish disapeared again. chips panicked, not wanting to lose someone again,despite the last mounths where chips avoided his brother. he decided to go after him and find him. fish had a nick at the left ea and chips just started screaming at him until breaking down. that night, he accepted what hapened to his brothers wasnt anybody fault, and did go back with him to the village.

after this, chips still have diffilcuties with what hapened, but started to take care of his brother. his poor mother had many heart attack with how fish and chips disapeared often, and chips decided one day that him and fish would go to a more populated district to try to find help for fish. not specially to "cure" him, but to try to help his situation, since fish often have weird anxiety attack. at the city, life was hard. chips had to find a job and started harrasing people with a phone he built from scrapes, trying to scam more money. first in a home for childrens, chips was finally noticed for his gift to talk to people, and engaged to keep harrassing people for adds instead of scams. finally having an appartment, being far from the village was kinda helping fish but the noises didnt really help either. still, fish started to do better ounce chips could find a way of having his own thing, therapist by phone. by this time, they found someone named emelyne that was in a mess and didnt have a home. they took her in, knowing the diffilculties, but she betrays them and try to scam client from chips and almost put the brothers in danger. chips kicked her out, and is destroyed to loose one of his first new friend in the city. fish start doing better to the point of going to school, and chips start to study better for therapist. a few mounth later, and fish asked to try to rent an appartment close from school, since they are still a bit far from everyting despite being in the city. chips is very worried but accept. now, chips still study for therapist and keep his business, and now try to start to heal after basicly forcing himself to grow up for his brother. he visit fish often, and when he realise how much fish can grow when not in his care, chips is both so happy and a little bit bittersweet. he hold a good respect for tartiflette, having help his brother a lot despite being wary of her at first due to emelyne.

Relationships

Fish

fish is his younger brother and him and chips share a very strong bound. they both lost something in their youth, and was depending both on the other (less for chips but still). it could have become unhealthy, especially since chips give everyting he could for fish. being separated was the best for them, to try to heal while not relaying on eachother and putting pressure. chips is bitter that fish could progress way more without him, but still understand and support his brother, wanting only the best for him. chips is very prottective of him, but let fish have his space (also he is very busy). they dont see eachother often but keep in touch everyweek.

emelyne

chips found her struggling to find money and destroyed after the loss of her sister. they meet in the street, emelyne trying to harrass someone for a scam. chips let her crash a few times at their homes until one day emelyne admit that she dont have a house anymore, nor money to find one. chips was very empathic, founding their situation kinda similar. both became close friends, first chips have in the city. emelyne was a great support, and both could help eachother. until emelyne betray him, scamming his client and putting him and his brother in danger. despite her screaming how she didnt have a choice, chips cut ties and kick her out. he is very hurt by what happened, having to ripped himself off a support system yet again for his sake and the one of his brother. fish helped him a lot (the best he could) during that time. chips is now very wary of people thanks to her.

tartiflette

at first, he only heard of her by fish vague text about someone he met. chips was very wary of any mention of fish, and did not let fish forguet about emelyne, not wanting fish to be hurt like chips was and possibly ruining progres and relapse. when fish didnt call after threed day, chips was immidiatly worried and put a day off to visit his brother. he met tartiflette and both clash a bit, chips persuaded she hurt fish and tartiflette not knowing who the fuck he was. after talking a bit, chips could see how fish had grown since he meet tartiflette and was amazed. after a long talk, chips respect a lot tartiflette and how she helped, even unintentionly his brother. he is quite unsure about her sometime but still respect her and keep in touch with tartiflette now. not quite a friend yet but he still appreciate her.

• have anger issue but since his begeining in therapy he is working on that
• actually someone very socciable ! just since he moved on the city he wasnt very lucky on encounter and that closed him off a lot
