Profile

my baby. baby. Boy. **

•He/Him; thinks of himself as a cis gay man for convenience

•This profile will be the non-Tav version of him I use in a shared universe with MaximumSnow! I just think he's really neat in this rendition.

•Victor is a powerful Storm Sorcerer and retired adventurer now living a quieter life in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. He's native to the place, but unfortunately, his only living family is estranged and he finds it hard to keep in touch with most old friends. Combined with his close friend Cerival's abduction, he lives a lonely existence, though he doesn't like to describe it as such (or even talk about it). No matter how much he mingles with other people in the city, the feeling of solitude doesn't ever go away.

•As is the case with all his adaptations, Victor struggles with chronic pain/illness. In this universe, his inherent storm magic is simply too powerful for his fragile body to handle, and thus it often hurts him. Badly. He's incredibly strong, but taxing his magic leads to painful results: agonizing numbness, burning sensations in his blood, convulsions, even seizures if he REALLY overextends his abilities. Because using his magic is so ingrained, these symptoms are a common occurrence for him. Victor has learned how to cope, and to hold onto the pride he feels towards his power, but they still leave him so utterly exhausted. On the bright side, at least his magic makes his blood vessels look like really cool Lichtenberg figures.

•Beyond all of his issues, Victor is just a Silly Little Guy at heart (and yes, he knows exactly how to use that to conceal said problems). He's a hopeless romantic, for one, and once he truly falls for someone he falls HARD. The end of his last relationship still affects him now for this reason, and he refers to it as his "divorce arc" despite never having been married. His phrases tend to affect the way his friends speak, something he will never not think is hilarious (especially when it happens to Cerival). Victor does enjoy having fun and getting laughs out of others, nothing can take that from him. He also is really invested in looking good, and can come off as really fussy when it comes to clothing. He LIKES being hot, dammit. And knowing when other people think he's hot never gets old.

•One of his most defining traits is fierce loyalty. Victor will always stand by those he has come to see as 'his people', and defend them to his last breath. He's gotten into plenty of trouble thanks to this, but sees any challenges as worth it. Even if it means he gets hurt, he doesn't really mind. Victor is the one you can count on to have your back. He almost went on the warpath when he found out about what happened to Cerival, luckily, the Dragonborn has a much more steady personality in compared to his firecracker nature.

•When Victor was a young teen, his younger sister was killed in a brutal attack from a group of ogres. He barely survived this himself, and was left with a nasty scar across his face when he attempted to save her. His family blamed him for "failing"; his mother would use it as a passive-aggressive attack to drag up whenever he disappointed her, and his brother never stopped directly shoving it in his face and hating him. This is the true source of the inferiority complex Victor tries so hard to shove down. No matter how confident he acts, how carefree he attempts to come off as, he still hears their voices in his head. He still sees his sister dying in front of him. Nobody stays... and why should they?

•Before the events of BG3, Victor and Gale were in a relationship-this was before the latter ended up with Mystra. It wasn't exactly a clean breakup, and the two never fully reconciled. Victor felt abandoned and discarded by the entire ordeal; how the hell could he ever live up to a literal goddess? He was never going to be good enough. He's still hurt by it in present day, especially since he and Gale drifted apart over the years, leaving an emotional wound that refuses to heal. Victor is surprised that Gale's mother and Tara still keep in touch with him, though. He didn't expect anyone from that era of his life to keep caring about him.

•His family never had a lot of money in his childhood, and many of his habits reflect that-especially when it comes to eating. Don't bring them up. Victor will NOT be happy.
