An aggressive and cocky young man who is always picking fights and throwing himself into danger. Lost his tail in a traumatic event when he was young, and at the same time made a contract with a devil to survive.

Story
I
Natsume was raised alone by his adoptive father, who was a member of a prolific mafia. While that added some stress and neglect to his childhood, his father always doted on him whenever he was home. He clung to his father as he had nothing else ever since he could remember. He has never been able to recall what the faces of his birth parents looked like. He had trouble making friends due to some of the dark things he said (as an influence of his upbringing) and all the other children were afraid of him. This fragile balance came crashing down when he was 16, and his father brought him to a room and it was there the truth of his childhood was revealed- The mafia had killed his birth parents for their tails, and decided to keep their newborn child as an 'investment'. When it came around the age that growth would stop, the would cut off his tail and kill him. And they proceeded to hold him down and do just that. However, when his body was wracked with so much pain he thought he would pass out, he heard a whisper in his ear... A chance to continue living. And that was when he accepted the devil's contract and took its power, slaughtering everyone in the room in an outrage of flames.
