uhm backstory thing UHM still working on it kind of . . .

tomo is born in japan to a middle-class family , they spent most of their life living with their parents (in japan) however their father had just recently lost his job, and the mother barely earned enough money to sustain the entire family so they decided to send tomo to live with their grandparents at least till they graduated from high school.

they spent three years living in America, tomo would talk to their parents weekly for any updates, and yet in all of those three years, their economic issues hadn't gotten any better since tomo had left japan. Despite Tomo wanting to help, their parents wouldn't allow it. 

¨we are the adults here, you should not worry about such things.¨ tomo didn't agree, it wasn't fair to them. they were perfectly capable of helping and even going out of their way to get a job just to help their parents, however, their parents did not change their opinion on the case. they felt helpless watching everything go badly.
