Rook Black

Abilities: Shroud | Inhuman Speed | Enhanced Sense of Smell

Rook can shroud himself in a black mist to make hunting easier. This not only masks his scent, but makes him harder to see, especially in dark places. He has incredible increased speed as well and can dart short distances in his shrouded state in seconds. His sense of smell is almost canine in nature, making sniffing out prey easy for him.

Occasionally, Rook will track scents to wrong locations or get overwhelmed with so many smells at once that he gets a sort of blindness (similar to turning music down in the car so you can 'see' better). When he is 'blind', his vision blurs and he feels dizzy, sometimes this is extreme enough for him to loose consciousness. He can't use his shroud and darting for very long without experiencing extreme fatigue and in severe cases, he may start bleeding from the eyes, skin, or nose from overuse of his abilities.

- Completely intolerant to racist remarks
- People invading his private quarters/anyone being in his home other than him
- Androids and robots... they freak him out
- Being chastised for his activities based on his age
- Even the faintest idea that something might hurt his friends

Personality:
Rook is young and brash, sentimental, and a little foolhardy. Unfortunately, this combination does more harm than good. However, he's not stupid. Rook's well aware he cant protect the city alone, no matter how hard he tries, but that doesn't stop him from going out into the Wastes by himself to hunt down mutants or taking on monsters too big for him to handle. He's overly protective of his friends, far too invested in his work and doesn't know when to quit. He can be a bit naive at times, but he has a pretty good head on his shoulders. Plenty of street smarts, combat training and hunting skills.

He's a generally private person and it takes a lot to get him to open up and talk about himself an his emotions. Sometimes, he can come off as aloof or cold since he tries to conceal any emotional weakness. This doesn't mean he's impersonal, Rook's actually pretty polite and invested in gaining favor with everyone he can and making plenty of friends. He's a strong advocate for unity and wants Abbadon to change. He hates the slowly growing class gap and the divide in Meat and Garden markets. Ideally, he'd like to see the city come together and strive to survive. He'd like to see Earth reclaimed, and maybe even fix some of the damage, but he's smart enough to know this probably wont happen in his lifetime.
