Those who are unfamiliar with the God of Opera, Gē Yìn, might mistake her mask of a personality as reality. Others could often describe the god as catty, overly flamboyant, too dramatic, perhaps even childish, and uncaring of others. However, this perception of her character is just that, of the character she learned to portray. Although never lacking a dramatic flare, Gē Yìn, by her close companions and friends, is described as kind and compassionate, soft-spoken, and unfortunately, extremely troubled and anxious. She cares deeply for her believers in the mortal realm and can often be found attending theatre troop performances and opera shows. She enjoys the company of her close friends, yet is easily overwhelmed by other Heavenly Officials. All the world a stage, and unless the act calls for it, the God of Theatre and Opera will not shed a tear on that stage, lest it ruin the facade of her one-woman show.
