Can be drawn as a fish, a dragon, or a mix of both
Things to consider when drawing:
- all spines; no fur. spines are not totally hard/rigid and move with the flow of the body
- large, rounded, expressive eyes & other facial features. from the front the brow and jaw spines frame the face
- thick and "stubby" looking horns
- tail can be drawn thicker or thinner (I find thinner easier to draw most of the time). vertebral spines expand into a "fan" shape near the end of the tail
- three toes on each foot. scutes on the front of each leg
- whiskers fall behind spines on upper lip. fairly short
- four sets of elongated tusks visible when the mouth is closed. somewhat thick, black lips
- not super rigid on the colours as long as it looks balanced and pleasing to the eye. not muddy
