A solitary being that wanders the Great Forest at night, watching over all that dwell within it. Elio, as the humans have come to call him in light of the fact that this unicorn only ever ventures forth from his den in the dark of night, has been the forest's gaurdian for hundreds of years. He's the keeper of the Old Ways and stands to ensure that nature stays its course in the underbrush of the woods, despite the various ways that humans may try to interfere. Even then, the unicorn is anything but a violent soul. He'll often go out of his way to lead those who are lost out of the wood or keep watch over the odd adventurer as they dare to make camp in the forest. While he is tasked with keeping mortals at bay, Elio has nothing against them. He understands that it is in their nature to be selfish and self-serving even in places of nature.
Personality
The unicorn is a quiet, calm presence amongst the peace of the trees. When alone, Elio has little reason to speak or make much noise at all. He enjoys lounging about in the various little pools and streams in the woods, or making flowers grow with his powers beneath the pale moonlight. In the prescence of humans though, the unicorn finds it rather enjoyable to be a nuisance, even when trying to help. He likes riddles and practicing his speech with whatever poor soul has gotten lost for the night. He'll even go so far as to try and barter with them for any goods they may be carrying in exchange for a spell or two.

Character Notes
- Unlike what might be expected of him, Elio has no equine form... or rather, he's spent so long in his human form that he's forgotten completely how to change back into his original state.
- Elio is very much an 'all natural' sort of creature. Given the choice, he'd run around in the nude... though centuries of encounters with humans has taught him to wear some sort of clothing.
Design Notes
- His eyes and horn glow with a soft blue any time the unicorn uses his magic.
- He has naturally more hair than humans do, with tufts of the thick curls found in different places all about his body and tail.
Related Characters
Tempest [ Friend ]
A local from the nearby Panthera tribe, and one of Elio's only consistant companions. He's grown to enjoy Tempest's company and finds it rather amusing that the other will purposefully get himself 'lost' in the forest just so that they can spend time together. Perhaps there's more to their budding relationship that the pair simply hasn't worked out yet.
