Basics
A rare subspecies of octarian, the Mimic Octoling, who has lived most of her life on the surface as an inkling. Her disguise doesn't fool other octolings, but she blends in perfectly with the rather slow-in-the-head inklings. She isn't aware that she doesn't even need the disguise to trick them.

About
Posey left the underground at 12 years old, too young of an age to even have established her humanoid form yet. She had been enrolled in a strict private school from a young age, one that instilled good old fashioned octarian values in her, like how war is good and inkling suck. While her classmates were rather uptight for kids, Posey was always a bit slower to learn than the rest. She acted more like a regular kid, playful and mischevious to the point where she could get away with it. She never really retained much of what she was taught, her mind wandering off to other things during lessons. Still, special attention was put on her due to her unique status as a mimic octoling, an ability that may prove invaluable to defeating the inklings. They wouldn't turn an ink gun on their own kind in a real fight, would they? Their plans to turn Posey into a supersolider fell flat when a lot of the octarian teachers quit their jobs after hearing the Inkantation, and in the chaos of reigning the octoling army back in, Posey was forgotten about entirely. She was left to wander the underground aimlessly, lost and confused with nobody to guide her. Just when she was about to give up all hope of escaping, by chance she met two defectors from the octarian army. A former member of the octoling task force, and a slightly more cognisant than usual common octarian footsolider. The two of them, Zulu and Alfa respectively, could not ignore a young child in potential danger, and offered to protect her the best they could as they tried to find their way to the surface. Eventually, they found a link to Inkopolis through a sewer grate and left the underground behind for good.
Settling in/Agent 4
They seemed to be the first octarians to ever make it out of the underground. Posey, still not able to assume her humanoid form, looked similiar enough to an Inkling that it wasn't an issue, Zulu and Alfa were going to stand out way too much. Once they found a place to live, a small apartment near Inkopolis, (which was a miracle in itself since they were all terrible at speaking Inklish), they all collectively decided staying inside would be a better idea than going out. Posey, as energetic as she was, largely ignored this, and snuck out of the house a lot to visit places around Inkopolis. She studied the language through dictonaries and people speaking it around her, being able to retain it well due to her young age. It took a bit of practice, but she was able to speak Inklish almost fluently before she reached the age of 14. She taught what she knew to Zulu and Alfa, who were able to finally hold conversations with relative ease, but spoke with accents. Once Posey reached the age where she could assume her kid form, it was from her caregiver's suggestion that she use her ability as a mimic octoling to disguise herself as an inkling. It was difficult for her at first, to hold a disguise for hours at a time, but it slowly became easier and easier before looking like an inkling became second nature. Over time, more and more octolings started making their way to the surface and assuming their places in inkling society. There was even an octoling idol who co-hosted the city's news channel. This, and the fact that their savings were running dry, Zulu decided to start working shifts at Grizzco to earn extra money. To her surpise, the inklings didn't even care that she was an octoling, and her co-workers welcomed the extra hands on deck. Posey began making sort of a name for herself when she started participating in ranked battles. She turned out to be a bit of a prodigy, ink battling coming second nature to her. She quickly moved up the ranks, though the high levels she was playing at never dampened her spirit one bit. Win or lose, it didn't matter to her, she just played for fun. That's why she always rejected invites to teams or tournaments, it didn't interest her. It's possible she's not even aware of how coveted her rank even is.
Posey had her first run-in in years with the octarian army when she was approached by an odd woman who wanted her help to find a kidnapped family member. Apperently she was apart of a famous idol group, but Posey didn't watch TV so she wasn't up to date with any celebrities. She was more focused on the fact that she was now on the opposite side of the inkling vs octarian fight. As the newly appointed Agent 4, she would have to go on missions back to the underground, to fight the octarians she now understood to be brainwashed by Octavio. It was a strange feeling, before she was being told how awful the inklings were, now she was being told how awful the octarians were. The woman she was working with seemed to have a special distaste for them, and Posey didn't really understand why. Sure, the octarian army did bad things, but it wasn't their faults. She wanted to help all of them escape to the above ground worlds to have better lives, but it was out of her power. At the end of it all, Posey just hoped that everyone would just stop fighting.
Current day
Posey met her two current best friends, Mauve and Cake, and they frequently hang out together. She also participates in many, many ranked battles and butts heads with Cake a bit, but in the friendly competition way. She helps Mauve improve with speaking Inklish, and learned a bit more about the woman she worked with from Cake, who seemed to be oddly invested in her personal life. While she tends to be away from home a lot, she always comes back to visit Zulu and Alfa, who have both settled in nicely into their way of life, but still worry about the younger girl. All in all, Posey is happy with how she lives and the friends that she's made.
Relationships

Mauve [ Best Friend #1 ]
Posey feels a special connection with Mauve, due to the fact that theyre both octolings, but fails to express this due to the fact that she's undercover as an inkling. She's impressed by her exciting story of how she made her way to inkopolis.

Cake [ Best Friend #2 ]
Posey loves to play with her, and interperates her rude demeanour as friendly competitiveness. Outside of battle, she thinks that they're good friends.

Zulu [ Caregiver ]
While they aren't related by blood, Posey sees Zulu as an older sister. They made their journey to the surface together and Posey is forever grateful for her help.
