Willowfang was born and raised a kittypet, then named Princess. A purebred Ragdoll, her twolegs paid good money for her, but one day they had to move, and couldn't take her with them. So, they abandoned her. She was still fairly young - about 8 moons - and she had no idea what to do, or how to take care of herself in the wild. She navigated her way through the forest, eventually making her way towards RiverClan territory, drawn in by the promising smell of fish. The fish variety of canned cat food was her favorite, so it was at least something comforting and familiar to her. It wasn't long before she encountered a RiverClan patrol, who promptly took her to camp. She was accepted into the clan, and given the name Willowpaw, as her long drooping fur kind of resembled the branches of a weeping willow tree. She was initially a Warrior's apprentice, but she proved to be not very good at hunting, and didn't really like battle training either. She skipped out on a lot of her training sessions, patrols, and hunting to spend time hidden away in the medicine den, where her interest in herbs and healing was sparked. She found she was actually good at remembering and recognizing different herbs and treatments - much calmer to her than the life of a warrior. Willowpaw, only a moon away from being able to be considered to recieve her warrior name, was able to switch her role and become the medicine cat apprentice instead.

It was a long time before Willowpaw recieved her full and final name. Her mentor was becoming rather old, and she had taken over most of their duties at that point. On her mentor's final trip to the Moon Pool before they joined StarClan, she was finally given her name, Willowfang, for her abnormally long fang which was always visible from the side of her muzzle. This surprised the rest of the Clan, who had before been hesitant to accept Willowpaw (now Willowfang) in her role, since she was of kittypet origin - surely StarClan would never approve her! But, her joining RiverClan and taking up this role had been her destiny afterall, and after recieving StarClan's blessing and her full name, the Clan grew to respect her. Willowfang is now the sole medicine cat of RiverClan, and she doesn't yet have an apprentice of her own. Willowfang's story is nowhere on the canon Warriors timeline, and exists in a separate entity...

Jaysky

[ Friend ] "A ThunderClan warrior. Jaysky is my closest friend, not including cats in my Clan. Actually, we might be closer than I am with any of them, since my mentor passed at least. Even though we don't see each other all that often, only at gatherings or on the rare ocassion I visit ThunderClan's medicine cat, I love spending time with her and catching up on everything that's happened."
