A Psychonauts intern (in Motherlobe, aka Psychonauts headquarters), refused by her own family due to being a psychic and after accidentally hurting her elder sister during a conflict using her powers.
She was lucky enough they ended up giving her away to the Psychonauts after some persuasion instead of trying to "fix" her, which would've been way worse.
