"Just because something is lost does not mean it cannot be found!"
Helyain is a early 30s Dathomirian woman from the moon Mori'Kindan. She is one of the few Dathomirian women gifted with the power of foresight, granting her the title of Oracle. She is one of four oracles amongst the ranks of the Gift of Tomorrow, the Dathomirian society she was born and raised into. Though her primary duty is to bring the word of the future to others, the way she goes about it is unconventional. Helyain can act intentionally cryptic and strange just to get a reaction. Give her an inch and she'll question you for a mile. Despite being a predictor, Helyain is unpredictable. She is the spice of chaos in a society built upon order.
History:
Pre-Campaign:
Helyain was born into the Gift of Tomorrow and was raised by her two parents until she was a teenager. During her teenage years, she discovered her oracular abilities and informed the current oracles of said revelation. As such, Helyain was deemed the oracle of her generation of the GOT and formally became third in line for leadership.
Recently, while meditating, Helyain forsaw a grand prophesy: A dragon would hatch from the planet Koetsu, destroying it entirely. In it's awakening, the dragon would consume the entirety of Mori'Kindan. However, there was but one hope: A Mandolorian in shining armor would slay the dragon and prevent it's wrath entirely. Helyain would describe her prophesy to her fellow oracle sisters, to which all agreed action must be taken. Instead of sending envoys out, Helyain chose to embark on this mission herself. Though there is great danger in sending an oracle alone to enact the future, the sisters agree to let Helyain see this through.
Beyond the Looking Glass Campaign:
Helyain departed from Mori'Kindan aboard an Enterprise shuttle off to the main planet Koestu. Upon landing and scanning her surroundings, she went to examine a blue, worn-down space craft catching her eye. There, she encountered the craft's owner, operator, and pilor, one Judikael "Jude" Ozmesta, a young adult woman. Though Helyain prepared to make some teasing remarks about the ship, she instead posed curiosity at the bucket-of-bolts. Jude and Heylain would talk briefly before striking a deal: Helyain needs help in searching for Mandolorians (with the benefit of a private pilot to drive her from place to place), and Jude needs money. So, Helyain agreed to pay for Jude's services (albeit with no cost set). The two would depart further into the city to search for Mandolorians in addition to buying produce for Jude's shipwright.
In the city itself, while purchasing the fruit for Jude, the duo would ask and be informed by the merchant that someone in the alleyway behind him knew Mandolorians. Helyain, gleeful, proceeded around back to find one Jord Orrelford, an adult Lasat man in a wheelchair, begging for money. Heylain provided him with five credits and then sat with him on the ground. When she inquired for information on the Mandolorians, Jord became hostile and pulled out his gun. Though she attempted to explain her background as an oracle, Jord's fear manifested with the idea that this all was a scam somehow. Despite this, Helyain dropped her Ashla Staff and explained it was a gift from a sect of Lasats over a hundred years ago. Jord examined the staff, recognizing the symbol branded on the staff's ring to be that of his family's crest. Fascinated by this, Jord's aniexty melted. Helyain emphazied the nature of fate in this moment, being that she had a staff made by his family and the two crossing paths like such showing it could not be coincidence. With a baseline trust earned, Helyain mediated and foresaw Jord being the exact person she needs to find a Mandolorian, as he is soon to encounter one. Jord proposed a drink for the three of them so they may all get to know each other better,
At Smoe's, it was not long before the three would encounter the foretold Mandolorian.
