Akemi, who goes by Omi around town, is a former popstar turned farmer. She grew up in the big city with her older sister, Keiko, and her mom and dad. Though her and her mom never got along due to Akemi wanting to escape stardom, Akemi always put her family first. However, that escape soon showed itself and she wasted no time escaping her old life. There she found her new life.

Akemi is a kind, caring, and overall altruistic person hailing all the way from Japan. She tends to make sure that everyones needs are always met before her own. She always values senimenital items over money. She also doesn't let anyone go hungry, suffer, or struggle.

Shane is Akemi's preferred choice for romanance. She grew close to him while trying to help Shane work through his problems, finding that the two werent so different after all. She also considers Shane Isabelle's "uncle" (despite his many protests) because of Isabelle calling him "Auntie's boyfriend"
