Alesander

diligent . warm-hearted . perceptive

Alesander didn't start adventuring until he was already in an advanced age. As a young man he apprenticed as a smith in the rural parts to the west of the kingdom. There he soon fell in love and started a family shortly after he became a full fledged smith. A small cottage at the edge of town next to the smithy, a beautiful wife and two curious children - he really enjoyed his life in this peaceful part of the world, far away from the bustling cities to the east near the shores. He would have never guessed that after ten years of following his profession and caring for his family tragedy would struck
On a late summer's night he returned from a trip to the next city, trading his armors for gold and food when he saw smoke rising up behind the hills, just about where his little village was situated. A very foreboding sign. He rushed his carriage forward, but it was already too late: The houses looked like charred skeletal remains of a once peaceful town; mutilated bodies, struck by giant weapons lay on the ground like the toy-soldiers he had bought his son two years ago. He searched for any sign who could have done such a horrendous deed. He was able to find an old man who was mortally wounded but had seen what or who attacked the village:
There was a group of people and unleashed it, destroying most of the houses and people standing in its way. In the ensuing chaos many fell to those strangers, but as far as he had seen, the also took some villagers with them when they left the village southwards, abducting them to god knows where. After the flames died down Alesander made it his duty to collect all the corpses and giving them a proper burial.
Alesander swore vengeance on this day an made it his duty to find these people who were responsible for the loss of his family and home. Now he travely through the country with his companions on this carriage and searches for clues about the events that happened in his small hometown almost fife years ago.
