Rauda al-Saqr

Although born in Orkney, Rauda never knew her mother. The product of an affair of her father's, while viking, Rauda was raised by the settlement after her mother died in childbirth. Returning to Orkney the next season, Haakon took his young daughter with him and returned to Norway, where Rauda remained until she was almost three years old. When her father was killed in battle, Rauda was adopted by her paternal uncle, who left Norway to establish a settlement in Grønland.
