Valentine is best described as moody, bitter and sometimes pretty rude. He'll easily laugh at or cause misfortune to others, even though deep down he wants people to like him.

In reality, he's deeply loyal to a point of following someone he truely trusts blindly and will do anything for attention.. even negative things. However, he truely just wants happiness in the end.

He's lucky enough to have a Memory Keeper who can see behind that facade of meaness and whom he even somtimes cry to. A Memory Keeper named Ariel.  He's the only one he truely trusts.

A  child watched in awe as the stars seemed to speed across the night sky  and made a wish. He wished for nothing more than a companion, someone to  forever be by his side, no matter what. A pet, that would be fiercely  loyal to him and never go astray.

Thus, Valentine was born.

Being  drawn to the child, he introduced himself with a happy smile and bounce  in his step, feeling that he was to fullfill his deepest life goal by  being someones very best friend, but alas, it was not to be.

"You talk. What are you?" , the child asked confused as he sat before it.
"I am a Memory Keeper!", he replied joyfully, "Your wish is what gave me life! I'm here for you! Here, to be your friend!"

The kid stared at him and as the seconds passed, he could feel his heart slowly sink.
"I wanted a dog.. or a cat.. not whatever you are."

Valentine  could not understand this decision, but as his hope crumbled before his  eyes, he didn't question it either. He had been rejected by the very  person that had given him life. That would have given him purpose within  it.

As he slumped off, he wondered if had  done something wrong? Maybe he shouldn't have talked? Maybe if he were  more like a normal animal, the kid would have liked him? The more his  mind had time to go over it, the more he began to resent children. Maybe  children were just like that? Maybe they just hated him. He wasn't  sure, but at the same time, he was so deeply hurt he didn't care to find  out.

He grew cynical and rude towards others, rejecting them before he could experience hurt again. Truth be told, he  still longed to be someones very best friend however. He still wanted to  be friendly and happy, together with someone who would be just as happy  to have him at their side.

Maybe, one day, he'd find his purpose.

• Vincent is a Memory Keeper! He can record memories and magic them onto books for others to see if needed, all with the help of a magic spell!
• Memory Keepers are mostly their "core" (the thing on her chest!) If injured, he can recover in a speedy manner. Wounds are sparkly glitter. Only if his  core is harmed can he truely be hurt!
  
• His blue spots glow in the dark!
• There are always four, glowy butterflies around him. They are dream holograms and flap around like the real things, but can not truely be touched.
  
• He lives in an abandoned house at the edge of town, together with Ariel.
  
• Usually keeps to himself, can be incredibly rude to others however!
  
• Ariel is the one who braids his long hair.
