Rain Thrush was raised in Kirin Village, during the time where the Vow of Silence was taking place and they took part in it. During their time of silence, they heavily got involved in their hobbies of art and often went out to explore ponds and rivers to stare at sea creatures.
Once the Vow of Silence was healed however, Rain became a much more energetic and incredibly vocal Kirin, constantly making noises and overall incredibly reactive. They still become heavily involved in their hobbies, but had this itch to explore out to different places, such as Canterlot or Ponyville, meeting many other individuals in the process.
