Story

Background info

Rhinestone was born in Octopia to a moderately wealthy family and had two other siblings (both sisters; he was the middle child). Rhinestone never had much trouble opening up to others and taking them under his wing, easily making him a popular kid among his schoolmates. Around the time Rhinestone was supposed to enter the 5th grade, his parents got a job offering in a different part of the city, so the Valentines end up moving away from their old home. In Rhinestone's new school, he meets Styx and the two form a bond almost instantly, with one of their shared interests being music. Although this relationship was very benifitial for the both of them, their classmates weren't too happy that who they thought was a really cool kid was hanging out with essentially their own sentient punching bag (Styx), so Rhinestone's popular kid status was essentially revoked from him. But to Rhinestone, that didn't really matter. He continued to be Styx's friend and would defend him from bullies trying to bring him down. As the years went by, Rhinestone included others into his and Styx's friend group, specifically Regina McKane, an ex-octoling soldier exiled from the octarian army after brutally attacking another soldier for letting an inkling invader escape, and Winter Green, a shy, tech-savy girl who lives a posh lifestyle. Eventually, this group of friends would go on to form indie rock band Kiss Me Kill Me, with Rhinestone being the lead vocalist and one of the guitarists of the group.The group would reside in Octopia until sometime in 2021 M.E., where almost everyone the group knew got captured by Mr. Grizz to turn them into mammalian soldiers. The group, after the incident, would swiftly move to a badly kept apartment complex in Inkopolis (due to not having the funds they needed to get something better). Kiss Me Kill Me, in both Octopia and Inkopolis, has a niche fanbase, with one of the most active contributers to the fanbase being Anyo Skye, who frequently sings the band's praises on her social media accounts.

Biology

There isn't much to say about Rhinestone besides the fact that because he's a frilled octopus he has antler-like potrusions coming out of the sides of his head.

Other Info:

• Rhinestone is a femboy & is pansexual
• Rhinestone essentially serves as the leader of Kiss Me Kill Me
  • He's also the one responsible for creating the band's name
• Rhinestone used to have feelings for Styx, but those feelings have passed over time.
• Rhinestone, no matter the occasion, wears stick on rhinestones on his cheeks and will use specific colors and shapes for specific ocassions (more vibrant, circular rhinestones for birthdays, pink, red, and white, circular and heart shaped rhinestones for Valentines Day, ect)
• Was nearly killed by Regina when he first met her, but was ultimately saved by Styx who attacked Regina to protect Rhinestone (Rhinestone met Regina the night she got fired from being in the Octarian military and she over reacted when Rhinestone started to talk to her) (yeah these three's relationship is weird)
  • Nowadays, Rhinestone, Styx, and Regina just laugh about the situation, often saying "Hey remember the time we almost killed each other?"
• Outside of music, Rhinestone has an interest in acting and directing. He hopes to one day make his own tv series or movie.
• Rarely gets mad, but when he does, it's best if you stay away from him for a while.
