Bane

• Is mute, they use a notepad to communicate
• Has very neat handwriting
• Working with a special division of the government (Paranormal Division II, studying and investigating paranormal or strange occurrences)
• Was at one time one of their captures, but Bane just sorta grew on them
• because of their mask's inability to come off and their tail (currently working on figuring out how to take the mask off), they can't be outside during the daytime
• Pitch is the name of the curse itself, named after the person who released it
• Pitch will occasionally talk to Bane, telling them rude or insulting things, but Bane has learned to block out their insults for the most part
• Has special control over shadows, can use them for travel (takes a lot of energy so they only use it in emergency situations), or they can utilize the shadows in close proximity to them to create shapes and use them for different tasks (ex: tendrils that can drab items)
• Realizing that the only way to remove the curse is by passing it on to someone else, Bane and Pitch have sort of developed some liking for each other, in the same way that your friends insult you, but in a sort of friendly way
• The Pitch's true form is a large, snake like creature made of shadow and black fire, with a spade tail, one eye, and tall horns
• Bane no longer remembers their original name, what their face looks like, or what their voice sounds like anymore 

Backstory:

• was human once (a very long time ago)
• Encountered a strange creature
• The creature lunged and clawed their face, the wound started to bleed, but it was not blood, it was a shadowy smoke that engulfed them in the substance they were bleeding, it formed into their tail, mask, and wings, as well as blocking their ability to speak, it also gave them the nonhuman traits they have as well (paws and digitigrade legs, claws, four fingers, and the skin gradient)
• Its been so long since "the incident" they don't even remember their original name, what their face looks like, or what their voice sounds like anymore
• Doesn't remember much from before that incident but remembers enough that their main goal is to find that creature and exact their revenge (working with Division II definitely helps with this goal)
