A standoffish battlemage who can't quite control the "mage" part. Her magical ability has great potential, but the difficulty of commanding her power takes large tolls on her body. She prefers to be called "Rune."

Rune is a first year student at a magic academy. She has an intensity about her presence that keeps peers at bay while welcoming rumors and judgement. She is self-taught in magic and struggles much more than the rest of her classmates, leading them to question her admittance.

Because of her deep voice, demeanor, choice in uniform, and androgynous appearance, she is often mistaken as a boy yet takes no action to correct misidentifications.
