Birchtail

Birchtail is an ambitious warrior who often comes off to her clanmates as desperate for attention. Her behavior stems from losing her mother during her first battle at a very young age, and consequently losing her father soon after, as he distanced himself from Birchtail and her sister Shadowtuft after his mate's death. All Birchtail wants is for things to go back to how they used to be, and she is stuck deep in denial as she tries in vain to gain back her father's affection, despite the fact that she knows deep down that he wants nothing to do with her. Desperate for approval from somewhere, Birchtail has earned a reputation of being talkative, helpful, and friendly, almost annoyingly so. She seems to either not notice or not care that other cats clearly do not appreciate how offputtingly social she is. Birchtail clings to the idea that there is good in everyone, and puts her all into everything she does for the sake of making her clan proud.
