Curtis Edward Brooker

Disillusioned with the system, Lt. Brooker has taken advantage of being the only one within 100 miles with the proper training to work for the Sheriff’s department and takes great pleasure in doing absolutely nothing most of the time. Generally assigned to civilian patrol, which tends to consist of him wandering around the radius of the Cinnamon Corner Diner and waiting for someone to call on him. He’s well-known by the local kids, who take even greater pleasure in running him around and making his job harder. Divorcee, banned from visiting his wife and daughter due a persistent alcohol addiction that he can’t kick.

Lonely, solemn, self-pitying, and generally miserable -- and staunchly unwilling to do anything about it. His coping skills include moping, alcoholism, random acts of stationary-oriented violence, mild vandalism, and feeling bad for himself when none of those improve his situation whatsoever.

"We all make our own hells. Mine is a kiddie pool filled with horseshit and at this point the effort of trying to climb out of it is not worth the return on investment. Either way, I'm still covered in shit."
