Brittle Crystal is a crystal pony and a distant niece of Frosted Rose. Her whole life, she's known nothing but the cushions and comforts of the palace, as she was born with a rare condition that makes her crystal body extremely fragile. Though she wants nothing more than to run around in the sun and collapse in the warm earth, one wrong move could shatter her completely. Her cutie mark, a perfume bottle, represents the fleeting nature of her existence- her presence, though sweet, is inherently temporary, and fades away quickly. She isn't long for this world- ponies with her affliction never are, and she's already had one accident that left one of her back legs and one of her eyes in shatters. A simple stumble over a stair was enough to significantly disable her- and she knows that soon there will come a day where the rest of her falls apart. She only hopes that, in whatever remains of her life, that she is able to find love and joy.

she lives in the crystal empire! i wanna say there's New Management, not cadence/flurry haha. she's distantly descended from frozen flame, which makes her whole bloodline more prone to Afflictions. alicorn children don't do well as mortals. she eventually falls in love with bear claw!
