Ruth

A fearless, heavy-set hellion that knows no limits, Ruth's had many close encounters already in her short life. Born into the Wapiti Pack, her boundless willpower and tenacity was a valuable asset to her pack and their high-stress bison hunts. As she reached adulthood, however, the daily routine of her pack's became too stale and predictable for her. She wanted something harder, something different and new. Try as she might with creative thinking and the year's new crop of pups, however, she wasn't finding anything refreshing or enriching. It was the same scenery, the same prey, and the same strategies.

The last day her pack saw her was pursuing a spike elk across the pack's border into the trees. It was a failed hunt, but Ruth had so much fun with the chase she decided to simply not go home. The world was her oyster, and she could feel it in her bones that it was time for her to carve her own place in it.

• Ruth is large and heavy-set with powerful muscles and a strong jaw. Her legs are slightly shorter than average and loose skin along her stomach makes her look stouter than she truly is.
• Her bulk and a few long-healed injuries to her foreleg slow her down and impact her capacity for long chases (though her determination tends to make up for it).
• Brazen and thrill-seeking as she is, Ruth isn't stupid. She can tell a hopeless fight when she sees it and will concede when required... though expecting it to be graceful is another thing altogether.
