Some call him a God of Autumn and pay him tribute and worship him and his season. Some call him a changeling, one who steals children away never to be seen again. Some call him the very Spirit of Autumn.
He calls himself none of these things. Aguarra simply is and does not feel the need to further define himself, letting the mortals call him what they will.

A free spirit who lives unbound by the regimented morals and structures of the mortals, which makes him both awed and feared in their eyes. Aguarra the natural, unknowable Being who lives wholly unto himself, with his own morals and codes. Who has always been and always will be so long as the world lives and the seasons turn.
This is most seen in the way he interacts with the mortals. Aguarra doesn't usually interact or interfere in their world and affairs unless directly summoned or sought out. He usually is very open to the cries of children and there are many young ones he has oath-bound to him to save them from their abusers and harsh lives. Whisking them away from their mortal shelves to live almost as changelings with him. Aguarra typically does not bother to investigate beyond the cry of salvation, which has lead to more that one of these children who would take back their cries and oaths if they could. Having been done in fits of immature rage and uncontrolled emotion to minor problems rather than genuine abuse and neglect and are now forever separated from family and friends of that lost human life.
Though those who do call upon him find him to be rather playful and curious. One who doesn't take everything too seriously and who knows how to enjoy the simpler and finer things of the world. He can alter his size at will and with little effort. Sometimes the size of your average red fox to a long and enormous spirit. Any, mortal or other spirit or being, who can find his affection will find him to be a very loyal friend. He is especially loyal to his Moondog, Astarte. His partner and greatest love and he can always be found to carry something blue that he associates with their strong bond.

Strongly tied to the seasons, autumn in specific, this affects the very structure of his life. Aguarra's magic is strongest in the Autumn months and he is forced into a hibernation during the winter season, where his magic is at it's weakest. Should he avoid sleep and the Winter Curse have its way, he could lose entire lives or relationships as it eats through his memories at random. Depending on how the curse decides to claim its prize for breaking the natural rhythm and order to his existence.
Though this seems to be the very base on which Aguarra's magic operates. Everything based on Oaths and the power of words sworn. Which he is very sensitive to. Breaking a sworn Oath to him is one of the fastest ways to enrage or anger him. Causing him to go on a calculated rampage of justice against the one who dared to break these sacred pacts made.
