Wayra Aguilar de la Vega

Wayra is nothing if not curious. He's an ambitious, omnivorous student who lives for the joy of learning, and as consequence his knowledge base is incredibly eclectic - he knows at least a little bit about almost anything you'd care to name. In addition to that, Wayra is also very open-minded and, while he isn't the easiest to get to know, he really enjoys being around people and hearing their stories. He's a career optimist - while he might catastrophize and compare himself and freak out given the slightest opportunity, Wayra is able to see the good in almost everyone and everything.

Somehow, despite his insane range of knowledge and clear passion for his studies, Wayra has convinced himself that he's an idiot. He's keenly aware of his status as a jack of all trades and master of none and of his inability to focus on one thing, and because of that he's worried that he'll never really find a place to call home in the world. While that perception is incredibly inaccurate and Wayra is far from an idiot, he is what some might call idiotically impulsive. Wayra's ambitions tend to get the better of him more often than not, and that combined with his short-sightedness means that he tends to look before he leaps and make decisions without considering their impact on himself and others, which has gotten him seriously injured in the past.

Wayra is an air witch, and he's incredibly passionate about the elemental side of his magic. He's dedicated a solid portion of his life to figuring out how to control the weather, which is...not really possible for an air witch working on their own, but his studies have made him incredibly skilled at controlling air currents. That makes him the fastest and most agile member of the team by a long shot, meaning that he's often responsible for handling more physical combat.
