Thunder Melody

Thunder Melody was born in Cloudsdale in 987 ALB. He always felt a stronger attachment to the evening and night resulting in his favourite Princess being Princess Luna especially after her return in 1000 ALB.

A talented guitarist (the joys of pegasus wings) he gained his cutie mark while noodling a blues tune laid on a cloud he crafted.

He then moved to Manehattan to work on Bridleway. This was cut short by the Changeling Invasion of 1002 ALB in which he found his other purpose. Protecting those that cannot protect themselves by defending a number of his friend's from Changeling infantry.

He enlisted in the EUP Guard shortly after the repulsion of the Changeling hive. After basic training he joined the 8th 'Loyalty' Onhooves Regiment.

After showing his unorthodox flying and cloud manipulation proficiency during war games against the Crystal Empire resulting in the capture and capitulation of a large number of the Crystal Empire's elite Pegasus regiments he was selected to join the 'Wonderbolts' Solar Special Tatics Squadron under the command of Comander Spitfire.

While serving in the Wonderbolts he was selected for promotion to Officer after his actions in the Storm King's Invasion in early 1006 ALB

He continued to serve with merit until Princess Luna re-established her military divisions in 1006 ALB shortly before the 2nd Changeling Invasion and requested transfer to the newly formed 'Shadowbolts' Lunar Special Tatics Squadron under Commander Night Glider. His transfer request was approved...

Dates use the HOI4 mod Equestria at War date system. Battalion and unit names are based off the EaW naming conventions so ALB is After Lunar Banishment

My head Canon is that the Wonderbolts and the Shadowbolts are two sides of the same coin (much like the SAS and SBS) with the Wonderbolts and Celestia's regiments acting more as the public face of the EUP and the Shadowbolts and Luna's regiments being the ponies that get stuff done.
