Teddy Empyrean

Edward Jr. "Teddy" Empyrean is his full Victorian-ass name

Edward's first son. Born with moderate irregularity, his father held out hope for a successful operation which never quite corrected Teddy's shape. While not irregular enough to face the threat of exile or death, it was enough to be constantly bombarded with strange looks, hurtful comments and microaggressions. There's always been a bit of a tension between him and his father, and combined with the fact that Edward is rarely at home, this left Teddy in a place where he was destined to act out.

Puberty hit him badly, and he began getting into all sorts of trouble. He got into anarchist movements (some which spouted Bill Cipher's ideologies) and was known as quite the vandal, got in constant fights and even began to kill small animals purely for fun. His father got more worried by the day and was advised to spend more time with him, which he did by bringing him to work to be a lab assistant for him.

There was constant tension between the two and they would often get into bad fights. Things came to a head when a dimensional tear was opened in the lab and, for reasons nobody quite understands, jumped right in, directly into a "madness bubble". His father managed to throw him a line (a rope, not a woman) and drag him back out, but the damage was done immediately, warping Teddy's shape into something unrecognizable.

Knowing his son would be put down otherwise, Edward managed to successfully designate him as an "experiment", and Teddy was forced to live in a sterile room in the lab. His mental state became worse and worse, to the point where even Edward knew he could likely never integrate back into society. Edward lived in constant guilt and Teddy in constant misery.

When Edward disappeared, there was nothing stopping him being executed. He managed to escape and is now wanted, though the government would also very much like to keep him a secret. Teddy comes out only at night, his bright coloring making him too conspicuous in the day, and has decided to resort to cannibalism to stay alive (this is an excuse he never tried not doing this like a normal person). He vaguely wonders what happened to his father, but is too far gone to care all that much.
