Story intro: Umbre's pov

It was right after Wallace and him had moved to a new city. Which he, frankly, didnt understand why they did. He was quite comfortable and happy where they were so he saw no reason to do it but nevertheless it was always Wallace who made those decisions so what else could he do but follow.

Umbre was out in the shed, butchering a monster he'd just dragged home when he saw something outside the window in the corner of his eye. Not anything particulairly big but still human sized so he went out to see what it was. He heard the sound of it running away fairly quickly after he saw it but the direction it ran was the house which he found even more odd so he went inside after it.

Turns out Wallace had apparently invited someone over and not bothered to tell him because Wallace was already aware that Umbre would just dissapear into the woods just to get away from any social interaction and it was about time Umbre exercised his social skills. Umbre however wasn't too keen on it but he thought if he got this over with quickly then Wallace would stop bugging him about it. In this situation however Umbre was doomed from the start because the one's Wallace had invited over was his nephew and niece who were both eleven. Aka children and Umbre doesn't do well with kids. It also didn't help that Lyr had seen him eating raw meat in the shed and therefore had her guard up cuz no normal person would do something like that.

Umbre stuck to his plan though and kept the interraction very brief before slipping into another room and staying there the rest of the night.
