Profile

Secret extra bonus member of Team Jelly that was kind of the springboard to the rest. Upon learning that one of the background characters in the SD comic was apparently meant to be a moon jelly themed magical girl, I decided to try designing a hypothetical magical girl costume for her. A lot of those ideas ended up getting rolled into other characters, mostly Lion's Mane.

I don't typically design fan OCs based on background characters of the existing property, but this was a fun design prompt. Maybe I will expand this design into a different sort of character later; for now I pretty much consider her a "draft"

Details

Attempts to refine the outfit/vibes. The background character had hair closer to the bust on the right, but I thought it would be fun if the hair became wavier and tentacle-y upon transforming. Again, that was rolled into Lion's Mane's design.

Most of the ideas became Lion's Mane. I think out of all of the brainstorming on these pages, for this character I'd keep the umbrella.
