Profile

Aklox is a valethske microbiologist who works in studying viruses and developing treatment and vaccines on Valeth Skettra, the valethske home world.

In the year 2551 AD, a paradox occurred on Bowie Base 5 - then an established colony - created by a strange figure referring to himself as The Strategist. The Strategist had issued a challenge to The Doctor, who had been allowed to choose a team to try and discover The Strategist's "clues" on the base to try and resolve the paradox while The Doctor was unable to land there. However, something went amiss, and instead of The Doctor's chosen team, a random selection of people who had had brief chance encounters with The Doctor were pulled to the base instead.

Aklox had been at work in the lab when suddenly he was transported to the base, with no idea what was going on. Along with him were a handful of humans - Denise, an elderly shopkeep; Blue, a pub landlord who was several hundred years old but looked barely past their 20s; Tim, a facilities manager from Torchwood; and Garryth, a metalworker from another colony. The group all received a telepathic communication from The Doctor, who soon realised the wrong people had been pulled through but asked them to investigate regardless, explaining they needed to locate some space-time anomalies along with the TARDIS. Aklox doesn't recognise The Doctor at first as their previous encounter was extremely brief, but upon seeing a dalek invasion going on outside and some heading their way, decides cooperating with these strangers was in his best interest regardless.

Most of the group are taken hostage and told to help build a large piece of machinery, which Aklox works out is a drill. Upon climbing up to the control panel and activating it, the drill killed 3 daleks with its initial startup, and the commotion allowed the group to escape - at which point The Doctor telepathically informed the group that this all was simply a distraction. Meanwhile, Blue, who had not been captured, had met with a doctor of the base named Terrence and done some investigating, finding one of the anomalies, a video clip stored on a computer of an event that took place in an alternate timeline. They also found a newspaper partially in old Draconian and partially in new, and found out before the dalek invasion the base had already been militarised as a war had broken out between humans and draconians after reports of both invading the others' airspace and arguing over who was in whose territory. Terrence seemingly became possessed, suddenly speaking in a much deeper tone and in a completely different manner, and congratulated Blue for finding one of his "clues". He then summoned vines from the ceiling to trap them, however the timely activation of the drill stopped the vines from being effective and Blue escaped, with Terrence returning to himself shortly after and following.

The group met up in a room where the Draconian prince was being held prisoner, but upon talking to and freeing him realised he was not seeing the same surroundings as them, completely unaware of any war or invasion and thinking he was just in his own bedroom, excitedly talking about his wedding today to the human ambassador. Meanwhile the group managed to detect a TARDIS signal below them and headed down to the ice fields with the prince in tow. As soon as he left the room he became aware of the same surroundings as the group, and was brought up to speed on the situation. At mention of the daleks he spoke of how they had invaded two years ago and the combined human and draconian forces had repelled them, with The Doctor showing up to help and freezing the daleks in time on their homeworld so he had believed he shouldn't see them again for thousands of years. The group pieced together that he must be from the alternate timeline and two years ahead of this timeline where the human and draconian forces are helpless against the daleks after having been at war with each other.

Throughout this, The Doctor periodically had moments of communicating telepathically with the party, and eventually Aklox worked out where he recognises this stranger from - when Aklox had been a couple of years younger, The Doctor in her 13th incarnation rushed into his lab, snatched up a box of agar jelly, announced something about how it would save the universe, and swept out as abruptly as she came before anyone could say a word.

On the way to the ice fields, Denise pulled out a strange box with various buttons on it, saying it was something The Doctor left with her. Upon fiddling with it, the group ended up calling The Doctor, though an incarnation that wasn't familiar with half of them. The conversation was largely unhelpful but the device helped them locate a nearby TARDIS, which turned out to be The Strategist's, and he soon teleported it elsewhere after congratulating the group on finding another clue.

Upon descending to the ice fields, Terrence once again became "possessed", only for the being to appear directly, shedding the form of Terrence. He introduced himself as The Strategist and told the group of how he had challenged The Doctor and all of this was a part of his game, and of his plan to free the deadly virus trapped within the ice fields. Denise distracted him by throwing a shoe, which had been fitted with an explosive device, and Aklox quickly pulled out his PPE and leapt down to safely grab a chunk of the ice to study before trying to flee with the rest of the group. but surprise the gamer telewarped some daleks in front of us oh noooo cliffhangerrrrr and thus ended session 1
