Arais (Dunmeshi Sona)

A Half-Elf fighter 

    Born to a fairly distant elven mother who was far too occupied by her work, Arais was more so raised by her tallman father, one especially fond of adventure, despite never experiencing much of it himself. Constantly being told of heroic tales of explorers and horrors of the dungeons they conquered, ever since they were a child they knew they'd become an adverturer themself, to live out not only their own dreams but their father's as well. This desire began to burn even brighter after he passed sometime during their early adolescence, due to the expected lifespan of a tallman reaching its natural end. While their mother certainly felt the need to now distance herself a little from her work to care for her child, Arais remained with little parental supervision, and a spirit wilder and more free than ever before. As soon as they came of age, they were sent away to join the army and, while certainly loathsome, it still proved a necessary step as they finally learned real combat and survival skills... although they also began to overstep the suppression of their expressive personality to better fit in with other, more disciplined soldiers. After stoically surviving a full four years of service, they took their leave and sought for greener pastures, beginning as a cheap bodyguard and eventually having the fortune to be temporarily hired by various parties of dungeon explorers, until finally settling in with a specific group of them who actually shared (some of) their ambition and eagerness for adventure itself.

    Despite being far more keen of their human heritage than elven, they still take advantage of their natural affinity for magic, albeit in a much more discrete way by incorporating it directly into their physical strikes, rather than in overt spellcasting, by imbuing elemental forces into their torch-like mace.
