Ru is an AI designed originally to be a synthetic performer in the past, though as he was advanced and previous versions were damaged, destroyed, or abandoned, he became a companion AI instead.
Ru is most often a robot with a screen for a face and sideways emoticon lights, his metal body in colors of golds, blues, teals, and whites. He may also appear as a elven male with teal hair and turquoise eyes, a synthetic body to blend in with certain crowds.
All versions stand at about 6’7 and are quite heavy due to being made mostly of metal. Their midsections (stomachs) are made of a soft material, which stores a vicious acid inside, that will spray out when the stomach is punctured or torn. Each versions have their own standout differences, but have their similarities as well.

Due to his chasis being replaced one after another due to damages and/or malfunctions, his core has grown cracked and damaged, meaning he is unable to remember his past "lives", losing all relationships prior to the new chasis. Whispers can be heard from the core, which he himself cannot hear, that are his past "lives" trying to wake up (become their own). It's as if many spirits have been trapped inside Ru's body, sentient versions of past years that only grow louder when contained in his chest cavity.
