Persimmon is a former housecat who has always yearned for a sense of belonging. When Vesper and her cats appeared in Persimmon's neighborhood, she was easily swayed by the leader's words due to her naivete and desire for companionship. The arbitrary peer pressure of not wanting to miss this once in a lifetime chance to be part of a close-knit group was too much for her to ignore. Deep down, she truly did not want to leave her home, as it provided a sense of consistent safety, but her loneliness and desperation won out in the end. She wasn't even thinking about the mission that seemed so critical to keeping this group together. She was barely thinking at all. Maybe these new cats would be able to protect her? But can all of them truly be considered friends? Persimmon learns about her troupemates through quiet observation due to her shyness and a small, ever-remaining apprehension to joining. She can't communicate well with Lacey because her anxiety and fear of rejection makes her too afraid to try and learn the sign language many of her troupemates have already mastered. She isn't particularly close with any cat, but she's most comfortable around Bliss, because out of any cat, Persimmon is sure she can trust them.
